«Some ideas are new, but most are only recognition of what has been there all along, the mystery in the middle of the room, the secret in the mirror. Sometimes one unexpected thought becomes the bridge that lets you traverse the country of the familiar in an unprecedented way.»
Solnit, Rebecca (2005). A field guide to getting lost.

Lust for Life

A poetic reflection on coffee, curiosity, and the space between scent and taste — a quiet hunger for life and all its imperfect, beautiful flavors. (ca 5-7min)

Mirrored Wanderings

Just another summer Sunday—and the exquisite proof of our infinite and diverse inner (and outer) world. (10-15min)

A Rebel Glitch at Dusk

A quiet moment at dusk reminded me that time can still belong to us. This short piece reflects on that fleeting in-between — when the city holds its breath between sunlight and neon (10 min)

What Winter taught me about Limits

An invitation to reflect about the importance of setting limits as a result of «conversations» between the chill philosopher and the caffeinated storyteller (10-15 min)

Charting New Seas: Stories of Treasures and Tears

A read to revisit and celebrate what has been collected, and to embark on the pirate’s journey through the year that has just begun. (6-10 min)

A home called Ritual

Everyday rituals allow us to cultivate awareness and self-care, transforming the simple into sacred (5-7 min)

Grzegorz and the Unnamed Places

The significance of sharing origins in a world where simplifying can often mean losing a part of who we are (5-10 min)

The end of summer. About nostalgia and freedom

As the southern hemisphere starts to warm up and in Valencia we still have the luck of summer evenings -that this latitude steals from the calendar-, this is the feeling I get with the end of summer, every year.

Sounds of a future present

As time and technology move forward, the cities of the present begin to resemble those once imagined. What are the elements that remind us of the future we now inhabit? An invitation to a 5-10 minute reading that engages the senses and sparks the imagination

About smiles: some stories on failure and attachment to an imaginary self

The story behind every smile has many more tenses, nuances and decisions than the mere portrait of the instant. This is an attempt to integrate real stories into the content promoted on social media

Fragility as a treasure

Fragility as the key to be moved by the great treasure of life (5 min)

About the inner-judge, gremlins and chimps

Some thoughts and content about experiences with our inner judge and the management of behaviors and automatic responses on the road to self-improvement (10-15 min)

Of trees, training, magic and appropriationism

A thread among trees, abs, art theorists and literature that might disintegrate anxiety. (10-15min)

About migrating and hydrating beans

A reflection about observations, habits, journeys and legumes as an excuse or symbol. (10-15 min)

About the blog

Caffe Interactions is an invitation to rethink and talk about the possible ways of understanding daily life as a subjective, personal practice, where we integrate a critical and even aesthetic look on the mundane. Perhaps, occasionally, we will also visit some contemporary art, although not always. These readings do not require «knowing» anything about art beforehand, on the contrary, I choose to leave that place. This is rather an invitation to other ways of looking at things, to dwell on the seemingly irrelevant and share the morning coffee or the evening drink / cup of tea.

And if I say to talk, it’s because I’m interested in feedback. So your comments are very welcome :)
